Good morning!
I like to share a bit of Wednesday Wisdom with you and if you like it then share it with others.
First, I appreciate you "liking this page" and I welcome you to Black Mall. Black Mall (BlackMall.biz) is a business development platform for African-American entrepreneurs and business owners who want to build a sustainable, thriving African-American national business community. We might as well go global.
To make this happen, we must have a communal mindset that exemplifies what Muhammad Ali said in the shortest poem ever written, "Me. We." We must have a mindset wrapped in the ways of the Ubuntu, an African philosophy that says, "I am what I am because we are."
I am glad to see the energy surrounding doing business with one another though it should not take tragic events to push us to do what we are born to do naturally, "be a community". As entrepreneurs and business owners, we want to channel this energy to produce economic results and in turn find ways to invest and support the development of African-American communities.
You may have already noticed that this energy is surrounded by a lot of noise. So tapping into this energy is like trying to light a candle in the middle of a hurricane. In the last few days, I have seen 100s of posts from people across several FB groups sharing their business information. I do not remember one of them and I am unlikely to search FB to find them in the future. The other day I saw a post from someone looking for a particular business/services. The day before I saw a post from someone who provided such services but I could not make the connection because I did not remember the name of the business.
If we are to transform this energy into power to move us forward, we have to find spaces and places to, in the words of Killer Mike, "plot, plan, organize, strategize, and mobilize." If you want to IGNITE your candle...get out of the @%$%# storm.
Join African-American first movers and register your business at BlackMall.biz, a business development platform that is being built by us for us. Bring others along with you. It's a community endeavor. If you do not own a business then gift a Black Mall membership to a local African-American owned business. Contact them to let them know about your gift or we can do it for you. Do it for multiple businesses. This is how we build communities. Membership is only $1 per month. Your gift supports the recipient's business, supports Black Mall which supports our members' businesses, and supports your business if you are a business owner. Your gift begins establishing communal relationships. This approach is an aspect of sustainable economic models you hear me talk about.
No more excuses. No more procrastination. The time is now!
Any questions, you can send an email to iam@BlackMall.biz or to dwright@thewrightgroupllc.com or go to the Black Mall.
Where is my mic? Oh, it's on the floor. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
Have a success-full day!
