Welcome to BLACK MALL!
Thank you for your membership and willingness to grow together. BLACK MALL is not a week old yet and is still being developed
so consider yourself to be a first-mover.
BLACK MALL may be the only or one of few searchable databases dedicated to African-American businesses. Our vision is to be much more than a virtual directory as
our businesses are much more than names in a database. For many of us, our business is an extension of our self.
The goal is to create a BLACK MALL experience that fosters learning and new knowledge, collaborative relationships, and business growth. This requires
that we remain engaged during the journey because consistency is key.
Those of you who have been part of the I M Possible Mall experience, know that I am big on creating platforms
to promote others. The same commitment will occur here at BLACK MALL. The promotion effort is now more focused centering on 3 areas to help build your brand:
Visibility - Influence - Perspective (VIP). This is accomplished by providing you opportunities to be promoted in On the Verge digital
magazine, to be interviewed on Shared Experiences (online platform), or as a speaker at All About the Notes Master
Mind workshop, promotion on our website, as well as other platforms to help you grow your brand. BLACK MALL is more than
a virtual directory. It is an experience.
Here are a few points to keep you abreast of what is happening at BLACK MALL:
-
BLACK MALL is a communal project meaning you are encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas to make it better. There is a
feedback page on the website for this purpose.
-
New industries have been added. For those who listed a "new industry" please review your profile
to ensure your business reflects the update. For current members in the FOOD industry the following
industries have been added (Food - Specialty, Baker - Cookies Specialty, Baker - Desserts). Please respond
if you want your profile to be updated.
-
There will be regular virtual engagement sessions to allow new members to introduce themselves and their business; existing members to share
new information; and will be open for members to share knowledge pertinent to the membership.
-
There will be an upcoming session with Q&A to better understand the requirements for launching a website. This is for the members who do not have
a website but it is open to all members.
-
Please check out the frequently asked questions
page to help keep you in the loop.
